Corrective Rhinoplasty

Most people have heard of nose jobs and may even know the medical term rhinoplasty. What you might not know is that not all rhinoplasty procedures are merely for cosmetic reasons. Some people have a deviated septum (the central cartilage in the nose is misaligned) so they may need this procedure for medical reasons. If they happen to also benefit aesthetically in the process, then this is even better.

A rhinoplasty can address almost any cosmetic issue. In other words, if there is something you don't like about the way your nose looks, it can probably be changed. It can also correct other medical problems such as birth defects or injuries. In cases where this procedure is done to correct a medical problem, it may be covered by insurance.

The benefits of rhinoplasty include not only improving the appearance of the nose, but also bringing the entire face into balance. And since most parts of the nose can be changed, such as the bridge, nostrils, tip of the nose, or even the size of the whole nose, the result is an aesthetically pleasing nose and face. And sometimes rhinoplasty can be done in combination with other cosmetic procedures such as a simplicity lift facelift.

If you have any problems with your nose - cosmetic, medical, or both - please contact Dr. Jasin to set up an initial consultation to discuss how rhinoplasty can help.
