That gorgeous Florida sunshine may seem lovely and inviting, but if you spend a large amount of time in the sun, your skin may suffer. Combined with the natural effects of aging, skin can become wrinkled and age spotted over time.

Laser skin resurfacing involves the treatment of skin with a deeply penetrating laser that will remove a number of outer layers of skin in order to expose healthier, more youthful skin. This allows your body to rebuild skin layers that are younger-looking and free of flaws.

Dr. Jasin offers six different options of laser skin rejuvenation depending upon the amount of correction needed and downtime required. The downtime may be anywhere from two days to nine days depending on the level of peel you choose.

Many patients choose to get several lower level peels to produce significant results with very little downtime. It is important to remember to avoid the sun as much as possible after your laser skin treatment because your skin will be more sensitive to sun exposure. If you choose to go out into the sun, be sure to wear sunscreen and protective clothing and accessories.
