Skin Care - Alphahydroxy Peels
Serving Tampa, St. Petersburg, Lakeland, and Sarasota
An alphahydroxy peel is a mild chemical peel which removes the outer layer of skin, creating healthy, younger looking skin and rejuvenating your face. It requires minimal or no downtime.
Glycolic acid, lactic acid, and fruit acids are alphahydroxy acids. Alphahydroxy acids act as exfoliants, removing dead skin cells, stimulating new cell growth and the production of collagen and elastin. The result is improved skin texture, more even coloring, and a more youthful appearance. An alphahydroxy peel does many things to improve the skin:
- Diminishes fine lines
- Reduces wrinkles
- Reduces hyper pigmentation
- Improves acne
- Reduces sun damage
- Improves rough, dry skin
- Improves enlarged pores
Alphahydroxy peels can be used on a weekly or monthly basis. They work well as a stand alone skin care treatment or as a monthly maintenance treatment after laser skin resurfacing.
