Simplicity Facelift Procedure
To begin your face lift at our Tampa, Florida practice, a small incision is made in front of and behind the ear. Fibrous and muscle tissue below the skin is mobilized and freed from its underlying attachments. This allows for better mobilization of the tissues, therefore creating a better lift. A special stitch called the "pulley stitch," developed by Dr. Jasin, lifts and tightens the cheeks, jowls, and neck. Excess skin is removed and the incisions are sutured. All patients receive treatment in our state of the art, fully-accredited facility in Tampa.
The Simplicity Facelift can be performed under local anesthesia, increasing safety for the patient. You may choose to combine this procedure with others, such as a brow lift, laser skin resurfacing, or eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) in Tampa. Recovery
We consider the Simplicity Facelift to be a "weekend recovery" procedure. Most patients recover in about 4 to 5 days as opposed to several weeks required for a traditional face lift. Tampa, Florida women and men generally experience minimal swelling and bruising during the recovery period. Sutures in front of the ear will be removed at 1 week and the ones behind the ear at 2 weeks post-op.
Like a traditional face lift, the Simplicity Facelift addresses the lower portion of the face, jaw line, and neck, but with minimal recovery and much less operative time.
