Hyaluronic Acid-Restylane, Juvederm, Perlane
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance that we normally have in our existing tissues. This class of fillers are the most popular in the United States, and includes Restylane, Juvederm and Perlane. Restylane became available in 2004. Since then, Juvederm and Perlane have been added to the U.S. market. Restylane and Juvederm are injected intradermally, midway into the skin, whereas Perlane is injected into the deeper part of the skin or below the skin. Juvederm is considered to be a smoother product making it particularly attractive for lip enhancement. Restylane is the most popular filler in the U.S., and Perlane is usually reserved for deeper folds and wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid products are typically considered to last six months or more.
Restylane, Juvederm and Perlane are commonly used for:
- Folds around the mouth
- Lip enhancement
- Cheek lines
- Frown lines
- Lip lines
- Acne scars

Radiesse®
Radiesse is a very versatile, long-lasting filler made from calcium hydroxylapatite and methylcellulose. Calcium hydroxylapatite is a naturally occurring mineral found in bones and teeth. Over time your body replaces the methylcellulose with collagen while the calcium hydroxylapatite stays in place as a framework for the collagen. Radiesse represents a new generation of injectable filler which delivers long term or semi- permanent correction of facial folds, deep lines, as well as contour deformities of the face. Unlike other fillers, Radiesse may be injected into various depths or planes which provide much more support to the facial tissues by replacing volume where it has been lost rather than just camouflaging the problem with a superficial filler.
Dr. Jasin has pioneered a revolutionary new injection technique for Radiesse injection, known as Invisible Touch, where the injection is carried out through the mouth and the Radiesse injected directly on top of the bone. This reduces bruising and swelling, but also provides an enhanced result that looks and feels natural for recontouring the cheeks and jaw line. Dr. Jasin travels extensively to lecture and train physicians on the proper technique for Radiesse injection to maximize benefit for the patient. Radiesse has become Dr. Jasin’s filler of choice, based on his experience with the product dating back to April 2003. Radiesse was FDA approved for cosmetic purposes in December 2006. Dr. Jasin is recognized as an expert in Radiesse injection worldwide.
