Mini Facelift

Serving Tampa, St. Petersburg, Lakeland, and Sarasota

Dr. jasin offers a facelift alternative to those worried about scars and the length of time it takes to heal called a mini facelift.

Mini facelift vs. Facelift

The difference between a mini facelift and a traditional facelift is that a mini facelift is less involved than a conventional facelift. Dr. Jasin also offers alternatives to traditional facelifts that accomplish the same thing such as nonsurgical facelifts or simplicity lifts.

A mini facelift offers:

  • A quick procedure
  • Less risk
  • Less stress
  • Lower cost
  • Short recover times
  • Small stitches (sutures)
  • Targeted performance

A mini facelift, also known as a “weekend facelift,” targets specific facial areas as opposed to reducing sagging and wrinkling throughout the whole face. A mini facelift does not address the wrinkling in the forehead. If you have drooping or sagging in only a few select facial areas, a mini facelift may be the right procedure for you.

The Mini facelift Procedure

Since the mini facelift is less invasive than a standard facelift, the procedure is fairly simple.

  1. Dr. Jasin applies a local anesthetic
  2. An incision is made from the bottom of where your sideburns would be to the bottom of your ears. This is a short incision compared with the typical facelift incision which goes from behind one ear all the way up around the head behind the hairline and back to behind the other ear.
  3. The skin is then lifted, pulled back, repositioned while some facial tissue may be removed and resculptured. It is then sutured so that the targeted facial creases and wrinkles disappear.

What a Mini facelift Treats

A mini facelift works on specific areas of the face including:

  • Lines from the nose to the edges of the mouth (nasolabial folds)
  • Lines from the edges of the mouth to the chin (“marionette” lines)
  • Loose skin on the face
  • Minor jowls
  • Neck creases
  • Wrinkles around the nose area

Sometimes Dr. Jasin will recommend another treatment to go along with your mini facelift such as injectable fillers or a fat transfer.

Good Candidates for Mini facelifts

People who make good candidates for mini facelifts include:

  • People who are just starting to notice visible signs of aging on their faces
  • People who are in their 30s or 40s
  • People who want minor drooping and sagging to disappear but don’t want a longer, involved procedure
